Feeding Hummingbirds

Regular maintenance is crucial when feeding hummingbirds as the little birds will quickly abandon an unmaintained feeder and can become severely sick from spoiled solution. To properly feed hummingbirds remember to:
- Use home-made nectar made of water and white sugar. No other type of sugar should be used
- Change the sugar solution twice a week at least, thrice a week in very warm weather
- Wash the feeder thoroughly with hot water every time you change the solution
